IKI RIDGE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION Board members
present: Call to Order: Carmen Hagloch introduced John Michalski who presented David Andrew’s report for the Nominating Committee. John reported that the nominating committee received 3 members for 3 year terms: Marilyn Haine, Fay Jones and Helen MacNeil. This motion will be voted on by the Board at the January Meeting. Carmen also announced that Roger Liu, Treasurer, retired after 21 years, during which time he had also served as President. She expressed her appreciation for his years of dedicated service to WIRCA. Helen MacNeil is now the interim Treasurer; helping with security are Marilyn Haine and Harvey Kodama. Lisa Iwata is the new Secretary. Carmen also thanked Sandra and Frank for putting the whole dinner event together. Helen MacNeil on the Treasurer's report: Helen opened by thanking Roger Liu for his service to the board. She reported that for the last 6 years, WIRCA took in $95000@ $195/ household with $85000 going towards security. In 2008, we decided that the surplus was too large and chose to increase security coverage. We were able to spend more on security and reduce surplus funds. Now, we have a 6 month surplus as security funds. To keep this surplus, we must raise our dues. Our 2011 budget is based on level of security and dues increase. We have so far received $40,000 towards our 2011 dues (@$230/household.) This is still very competitive. Carmen closed the meeting by recognizing Rick Mills for his outstanding 21 years of service.
